Last night we had a movie night in. We used Redbox to rent movies as we usually do, but there were very few movies of interest. So, we ended up with The Dilemma starring an awesome cast, including Vince Vaughn, Kevin James, Winona Ryder and Jennifer Connolly. A half hour into the movie, I now realize why I probably never heard of this movie when it was in the theaters, um, because it was terrible! The premise of the movie is based around Winona cheating on her husband James (likely couple, right?), and Vaughn (himself struggling to propose to Connolly--is he crazy? She's gorgeous, smart and funny, esp in this movie!) witnessing the cheating but is unable to tell James. In the background is this random story about Vaughn and James building a muscle electric car.
The truth does hurt...if you're looking for a sleeper, this movie is it, but only because it puts you to sleep, it is certainly not a hit. If you find yourself having a dilemma about which movie to rent, don't go for The Dilemma.
On the bright side, it only cost $1. I still love you Redbox. Is it better to get Netflix (comments welcome)? That might be our dilemma...
